Caroma has taken another step forward in water-saving innovation with the development of an all-in-one toilet, hand basin and tapware system designed to lower total bathroom water usage.
The first toilet suite in Australia to achieve a 5-star WELS rating, the
Caroma Profile™ Toilet Suite with Integrated Hand Basin provides a simple, effective way to re-use water in the bathroom.
Profile™ achieves this leading water rating by using the same water twice, firstly for hand washing and then for toilet flushing.
Profile™ is the first of its kind to feature a unique, dual-flush push button and spout arrangement that saves the water normally used when hands are washed in a separate basin. The flush cycle activation controls the flow of fresh water through the basin spout, allowing time for thorough hand washing before the same water fills the cistern tank. Award-winning Smartflush® technology is also built-in for ultra low 4.5/3L flushing.

The
Profile™ system was researched and progressively refined in collaboration with Brisbane City Council. As part of the product development proves, prototype integral hand basin toilets were installed in multiple trial sites. During this process, the concept was progressively refined based on results and feedback from the trials. The end result is a viable water saving solution that is the logical choice when sustainability is the top priority.
Profile™ functions just like a regular toilet suite, the only difference being the cistern is filled in a different way. It requires no additional installation requirements beyond that of a regular toilet suite and is suitable for new and existing installations. Testing validates the product’s water saving capabilities and confirms the presence of soapy water in the cistern has no adverse effect on internal cistern operating componentry.
