Terms & Conditions
1. Entry is free and is open to MyCaroma members who are Australian residents.
2. Only one entry per person is permitted.
3. To enter the competition, entrants will be required to send in a plumbing or building tip in 100 words or less.
4. Entrants will also need to enter a valid email address, to ensure they can be notified if they are a winner.
5. Entries open 12:01am (AEST) on the 22nd day of the preceding month to which the tip is being entered and close at 11:59pm (AEST) on the 30th day of the relevant month.
6. Tips must be sent via the online entry form or emailed to tipofthemonth@mycaroma.com.au for accurate recording of the tip to be included in the drawing.
7. Tip must be related to the plumbing or building trade.
8. Tips that have no relevance to the plumbing or building trades, or which are, in our opinion, not intended to be seriously considered will not be included in the competition.
9. The winner will be chosen by the first day of the relevant month and will be selected based on the following criteria: relevance to plumbing or building industry and uniqueness of response. Chance will form no part of the process of selecting the winner. Entries must be the entrant’s own work and must not infringe any rights of third parties.
10. The selected winner will receive their nominated prize no more than 21 days after the draw.
11. We reserve the right to modify, end, or cancel this promotion at any time at our sole discretion.
12. Caroma Dorf reserves the right to offer any suitable prize from selected plumbing or building product suppliers. This prize may differ in value from month to month.
13. Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash. The Promoter reserves the right to replace any prize with another of equivalent retail value without notice.
14. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The winner will be determined by a judging panel consisting of three representatives from Caroma Dorf. (Judging Panel)
15. Judging will take place at the offices of 4 Ray Road, Epping, Sydney, New South Wales.
16. The prize winners will be contacted via email and/or telephone within two working days of judging taking place. Prize winners will be published on the MyCaroma website by the fifth day of the following month.
17. Prizes will only be delivered in Australia by registered post and winners should allow 21 days for delivery of their prize.
18. Caroma Industries Limited reserves the right to verify the validity of entries, at any time during or after the promotion, and reserves the right to disqualify any entrant tampering with the entry process, including but not limited to submitting an entry which is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. Failure of Caroma Industries Limited to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
19. Cost of accessing the Internet is the entrant’s responsibility. Any costs associated with accessing the promotional website are the entrant’s responsibility and are dependent on the internet service provider used. Any contact details entered incorrectly shall invalidate the entry. Caroma Industries Limited is not responsible for receipt of incomplete or incomprehensible entries. All such inaccurate entries will be deemed invalid. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost or misdirected entries. Any entry that does not comply with these Terms and Conditions will be invalid.
20. Caroma Industries Limited accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from acceptance of the prize winnings. Independent financial advice should be sought.
21. A prize, or any unused portion of a prize which is not used within the specified period, is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash unless specified otherwise.
22. In the event that a prize is not available despite Caroma Industries Limited’s reasonable endeavours to procure the prize, Caroma Industries Limited reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal recommended retail value.
23. Caroma Industries Limited accepts no responsibility for any variation in the prize value.
24. Caroma Industries Limited is not liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with taking the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
25. In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster Caroma Industries Limited reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion.
26. Caroma Industries Limited is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, either caused by the telephone or internet user or for any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in this promotion, or for any technical error, or any combination thereof that may occur in the course of the administration of this promotion including any omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line or telephone, mobile or satellite network failure, technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet or website, software failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries and any injury or damage to participants or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating in or downloading any materials in the promotion. If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including but not limited to technical failures, unauthorised intervention, fraud or any other cause beyond the control of Caroma Industries Limited which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, Caroma Industries Limited reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion.
27. All entries become the property of the Caroma Industries Limited. You give Caroma Industries Limited a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to reproduce, communicate, publish, edit, adapt or otherwise use your submission, including the right to sublicense to others in Caroma Industries Limited’s discretion.
28. Caroma Industries Limited collects Entrants’ personal information in order to conduct the promotion. If the information requested is not provided, the entrant may not participate in the promotion. By entering this promotion, unless otherwise advised, each entrant also agrees that Caroma Industries Limited may use this information, in any media for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes without any further reference, payment or other compensation to the entrant, including sending the entrant electronic messages. A request to access, update or correct any information should be directed to Caroma Industries Limited.
29. Caroma Industries Limited reserves the right to request winners to provide proof of age, identity and residency at the nominated prize delivery address. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of Caroma Industries Limited.
